The Texas College of Probate Lawyers (TXCPL) is a private educational organization dedicated to promoting professionalism and excellence in Texas probate law by providing a network for sharing information and providing high-quality, reliable continuing education available in all aspects of Texas probate law.

The most dedicated and professional TEXAS PROBATE lawyers who are recognized & respected by the bench and bar as the leaders in the field.

Among other things, we:

1. Provide legal information, educational materials, and training to probate attorneys and their staff regarding court rules, court procedure, and various probate and probate-related legal topics;

2. Provide forms and information via this website and for in-person training on such topics as probate administration, probate litigation, and probate procedure, among other things.

We do not provide legal advice. We cannot tell you whether or not you should file for probate or file a probate dispute, recommend any specific probate attorney or probate law firm, give you an opinion about your probate case or predict how a judge might rule, talk to a judge on your behalf, or tell you what words to use in your probate papers or at a court hearing.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the regional workshop in El Paso for 2021 due to the COVID situation, but we are planning to host the annual conference virtually in the near future. Details will be emailed to members and posted on this website.
